Dipped Nail Polish Mug

Hello world. This my first blog ever. I love to experiment. I have been creating a lot of stuff, some work and some fail haha. I have been seeing this dipped nail polish mug all over the internet and I always wanted to try. I finally got to try it the other day, yay! Some people call it Marble Mug some people call Watercolor Mug: All works.

I have this very cute white mug and I thought it would be really fun to add some color to it. Here are the materials I used: A coffee mug, a tray, nail polish and a tooth pick. You can use any kind of containers but make sure it is big enough. You can also use a glass instead of a coffee mug or other ceramic.

First, I added warm water to the tray. Then dropped teal and spruce nail polish I have in the water. I saw they usually use one color at a time but I thought I would try something different!

step2

Then I swirled the nail polish using a toothpick. Woahh pretty!

step4

Here is the most important part: dipping the mug into the nail polish water! I wish I worked a little faster because the nail polish dries very fast. I was nervous a little.

step5

Let it sit there for a few seconds while holding it so the nail polish can cling to the mug. Then I took it out and air dried it by having it sit upside-down. There I have it!

step6

This was a very fun project and didn’t cost much money. I will make some more of these!

**Caution**

This mug is not microwave or dishwashing machine safe. I mean cleaning by hands doesn’t take much time! Let me know if any of you stumble to my blog and try it.

CHEERS to the mug!
